MARY ELIZABETH ANDERTON

July 1930 - February 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miss Anderton on

22nd February at the age of 92.

She was our founder, mentor, and friend for many years, and she will be sadly missed.  She was an inspiration to us all.

Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

At Anderton Opticians we aim to use the latest hi-tech innovations for your eyecare....   whilst still maintaining the caring traditional approach pioneered by Miss Anderton when she started the practice more than 50 years ago.

We have a modern open-plan waiting area and large frame-display area, and even our goldfish  swim over to say hello whilst you are waiting.

Our practice has built up a good traditional reputation over the years, but we are not at all "old fashioned". Our fully trained professional staff use some of the latest technology and techniques available, including digital retinal photography and the Seiko video centration system.

We are also lucky that we have our own large car park, making it so much more convenient for all, particularly our elderly or disabled patients.
